Beto offered to Fenerbahce, final decision rests with manager

Intermediaries have reportedly offered Fenerbahce the opportunity to sign 27-year-old Guinea-Bissau international Beto from Everton in the winter transfer window.

According to a report by Turkish outlet Fotomac, Fenerbahce will have the opportunity to sign Beto this month. The Turkish Super Lig giants are eager to reinforce their offensive unit by landing a striker in the winter transfer window. The 27-year-old Everton centre-forward may be that player for them.

Intermediaries have offered Fenerbahce the opportunity to land the Lisbon-born striker in the ongoing transfer window. Interestingly, the Everton attacker has been on the Turkish club’s wishlist for a long time. However, the final decision rests with Domenico Tedesco, and it is unclear if the Yellow Canaries are ready to sign him from the Merseyside club.

How has Beto fared at Everton?

Beto has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Everton from Udinese in a deal worth €30 million in August 2023. The Lisbon native spent his formative years in Portugal, passing through the academies at Oeiras and SL Benfica while embarking on three spells with URD Tires, the club where he turned professional nearly a decade ago. However, he rose in prominence during his stint in Serie A.

As for his stint with Everton, the player was in and out of the starting lineup in his first 18 months at Goodison Park before becoming a regular under David Moyes. However, the Guinea-Bissau international has struggled in the 2025/26 season, scoring only three goals in 22 outings across all competitions thus far. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old attacker’s next adventure may come in Turkiye, with intermediaries offering him to Fenerbahce.

Turkish adventure on the horizon?

Fenerbahce will dip into the market for multiple reinforcements in the winter transfer window. The Yellow Canaries are only three points behind Galatasaray, and they remain in the hunt for the Turkish Super Lig title in the second half of the 2025/26 season.

So, Fenerbahce will back Domenico Tedesco in the winter transfer window, with several candidates emerging on their wishlist. With Youssef En-Nesyri’s long-term future uncertain, the Turkish outfit can do with a striker, and Beto is an option worth considering.

However, it is unclear if Fenerbahce will launch a bid to sign the 27-year-old Guinea-Bissau international in the winter transfer window, as the final decision rests with Domenico Tedesco. Meanwhile, the Everton striker is a target for other well-known clubs, including AS Roma. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the former Udinese striker.
