AC Milan will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old Romanian international Radu Dragusin from Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Milan Live, Radu Dragusin is the subject of interest from AS Roma. The Serie A title hopefuls are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a centre-back in the winter transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Tottenham centre-back has emerged as a target for Giallorossi.
However, the Italian heavyweights have kept their options open, and they have their sights set on several other centre-backs, including Nathan Ake. As for Dragusin, AC Milan’s decision-makers are monitoring the Bucharest native closely after his recent injury.
How has Radu Dragusin fared at Tottenham?
Radu Dragusin has endured a frustrating journey since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Genoa in a deal worth €30 million in January 2024. The 23-year-old arrived in North London amid hype surrounding him after being among the best young prospects in Serie A when he left Genoa. However, the youngster has struggled to become a regular for Tottenham, and a long-term knee injury kept him in the treatment room for most of 2025.
Dragusin has managed only 38 appearances thus far for Tottenham, amassing 2,609 minutes of game time. Meanwhile, the Romanian defender’s stock remains high, and a return to Serie A may be on the cards. AC Milan will be among the prospective suitors vying for the young defender’s signature in the winter transfer window.
Serie A return on the horizon?
AC Milan’s interest in Radu Dragusin is understandable. While Massimiliano has several centre-backs in his squad, he wants more options for the central defensive unit to sustain the challenge of competing for the Serie A title in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
Several candidates, including Axel Disasi, have thus emerged on AC Milan’s radar, with Dragusin also a viable target. However, a January deal may not be straightforward, as the Serie A giants are currently monitoring the Tottenham defender’s situation closely after returning from a long-term knee injury.
Meanwhile, AC Milan will not be alone in the race to sign Dragusin, as recent reports have linked the 23-year-old Romanian international with several other well-known clubs, including Crystal Palace. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Tottenham defender.
