Micky van de Ven is certainly in the conversation of being one of the top centre-backs in the Premier League. It’s his third season with Spurs since making the big move from Wolfsburg, and he has grown his stature ever since, despite suffering some serious injuries along the way.
His pace and anticipation in the backline are seen as valuable assets, as many teams are keeping tabs on his contractual situation. While Van de Ven is tied to Spurs until the summer of 2029, there’s a growing anticipation that he might need a bigger contract to truly keep him on board.
