Arsenal table €60 million bid to sign Rodrygo Goes

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing 24-year-old Brazilian attacker Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid this year.

Rodrygo Goes has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent months. The 24-year-old has struggled to secure regular opportunities with them, and he needs to move on to play regularly. Joining Arsenal would be ideal for him.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, the North London outfit have offered €60 million to sign the Brazilian attacker. Interestingly, Saudi Pro League bigwigs Al-Hilal have also submitted a bid of the same amount to Real Madrid.

Arsenal can certainly use more quality and depth in their attacking unit, and the versatile South American attacker will be an ideal signing for them. He can operate as a centre-forward as well as on the flanks. He will look to create opportunities for his teammates and score regularly.

Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a move away from Arsenal, and his compatriot could be the ideal long-term replacement. Arsenal need a complete forward like Rodrygo, who can create opportunities and find the back of the net.

Viktor Gyokeres was signed in the summer, but the Swedish international is more of a poacher. His performances have not been at the desired level either. Arsenal need another reliable attacker, and the Real Madrid star would be ideal for them.

Will Real Madrid sanction Rodrygo sale?

It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to sanction Rodrygo’s departure. The 24-year-old is not a guaranteed starter for Los Blancos, and they could be tempted to sell him. They need to improve the other areas of the squad, and the €60 million recouped from his departure could be used to plug those gaps.

Convincing the Brazilian international to join Arsenal will not be difficult. The Gunners are among the biggest clubs in the world, and Mikel Arteta has an exceptional team. The Real Madrid attacker will be attracted to the idea of joining them, especially if they are willing to provide him with regular opportunities. He will be hoping to establish himself as a key player for Arsenal and the Brazilian national team, especially with the World Cup coming up.
