Arsenal plot €80 million move for Arda Guler

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal seem willing to fork out €80 million to sign Real Madrid’s Turkish gem Arda Guler.

Arsenal are looking to add more quality creativity to the mix, as they look to further bolster their chances of finally winning the Premier League under Mikel Arteta. According to a report from Fichajes, the Gunners have their eyes set on Arda Guler. They are making plans to convince Real Madrid to sell one of their most promising assets.

After coming up the ranks and making a name for himself at Fenerbahce, Guler joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. The Spanish giants managed to beat the competition to his signature.

While he found it very difficult to get regular minutes in the initial years, he has been a constant feature in the starting XI for them under Xabi Alonso. In the ongoing campaign, he has been involved in 25 matches and has contributed towards 10 goals.

Guler seems to be loving his new midfield role, but he has been equally effective out wide on the flanks. While his contract at Real Madrid runs until 2029 and he remains an integral part of their plans, Arsenal want to prise him away from Los Blancos.

Mikel Arteta is desperate to have more quality in the centre of the park as well as on the flanks. The versatile Guler could be just the perfect signing for his team. They are looking to secure his services on loan with a significant buy obligation.

Arsenal are making moves for Guler

They are preparing an offer worth around €80 million to convince Los Blancos to sell one of the most valuable assets. However, Xabi Alonso doesn’t seem to have any interest in letting him leave. Irrespective of the offer on the table, the Spanish manager is completely against his potential departure.

Despite concrete interest from Arsenal, Real Madrid are in no rush to make a decision on his future. Since there are still a few years left on his deal, the team in white are in complete control of his future.

The North London club want to entice him with a leading role in their project. However, Guler is completely committed to Real Madrid and has no intentions of pushing for a move away anytime soon.
