Fulham forward Adama Traore is all set to reunite with Nuno Espirito Santo at West Ham United in the ongoing transfer window.
Adama Traore’s future has been a big talking point since last summer. Since the Spanish winger does not have a prominent role at Fulham, multiple clubs have been keeping tabs on him ahead of a potential transfer.
Nuno Espirito Santo, who is a massive admirer of the Spanish international, has been keen on reuniting with him, and according to Ben Jacobs, West Ham United are set to fulfil his wish as Traore is set to join them in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Adama Traore made quite a name for himself while playing for Wolves, and he even had a short loan stint at Barcelona before he joined Fulham in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer. His debut campaign did not go according to plan as he struggled with injuries.
While he did contribute towards 11 goals in his second season, the 29-year-old winger had more of a rotational role. Traore’s game seems to have gone down further in the ongoing campaign, as he has racked up just 507 minutes in his 16 outings and only has a single assist to his name.
With the Spaniard’s contract running out at the end of the season and a lack of regular minutes at Craven Cottager, his future has been up in the air for some time. During the summer transfer transfer window, Nuno Espirito Santo was keen on signing him for Nottingham Forest.
Traore to reunite with Nuno at West Ham
Given the kind of success Adama Traore enjoyed at Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo, the Portuguese tactician was keen on reuniting with the Spanish speedster during his spell with Nottingham Forest. However, things did not go according to plan, and he ended up staying at Fulham.
However, the reunion is set to happen in the winter transfer window as Nuno seems to have convinced his new club, West Ham, to sign the 29-year-old winger. He seeks more quality in the final third, and Traore could turn out to be an x-factor player for the East London outfit.
The Hammers are set to sign the Spanish winger on an initial six-month contract, and depending on his performances, they might even hand him a long-term contract next summer. If everything goes according to plan, Traore should be a West Ham player in the coming days.
