Inter Milan, Juventus vying for Nathan Ake, player keen on exit

Inter Milan and Juventus are keen to bring Nathan Ake in January, with the Manchester City star ready for a new challenge.

According to Calciomercato, Nathan Ake is a big target for Inter Milan and Juventus ahead of the January transfer window. The Manchester City star is ready to leave the club in the hunt for regular game time ahead of next year’s World Cup.

The prospect of being fit and ready for the World Cup will see the January market stay active with plenty of player movements. Those stars with reduced game time will be the first to think about immediate switches, as Nathan Ake flatly falls into that category.

Once a key figure in this Manchester City side, and a big part of their treble-winning campaign, Ake has found game time difficult to come by recently. Despite playing two positions, Pep Guardiola has both the left back and left center-back areas covered at the moment.

Hence, there is a possibility Nathan Ake could leave, with Manchester City reportedly open to a sale of the defender if they can get a reasonable offer in the market. Ake is also thinking about a switch to stay sharo for the Netherlands’ World Cup campaign, as staying in the periphery could even hurt his chances of making the squad.

Atletico Madrid are one of the interested sides, and should a good offer arrive, he could leave to join the Spanish giants. However, there is big interest from Juventus and Inter Milan as things stand, with the Italian duo ready to make their move for the defender who had joined Manchester City in a £40 million deal back in 2020.

Serie A adventure for Nathan Ake?

Ake could consider a switch to the Serie A, although much will depend on whether Inter Milan and Juventus have the capacity to pay a reasonable fee to convince Manchester City over a sale. It remains to be seen how much the Premier League giants would want for the £40 million Manchester City utility man.

Juventus and Inter Milan represent strong options for Nathan Ake, especially with the defender now open to leaving Manchester City in the next window. Ample playing time will be paramount for the Dutchman in making a decision, as there’s also the chance the Serie A giants could make a loan approach rather than a permanent move.
