Fiorentina keen on Wilfried Gnonto

Plymouth Argyle vs Leeds United: Preview and Prediction. The Whites can guarantee the EFL Championship title with a win.

Fiorentina are angling for a loan move to sign Wilfried Gnonto in the January window, with the Leeds United star not getting enough minutes.

According to Fiorentina Uno, Wilfried Gnonto could be offered a route back to his homeland, Italy, as Fiorentina are interested in the Leeds United winger. The Italian winger is barely playing at Elland Road, as the Viola are now angling for a loan move which could come with a conditional buy obligation.

Wilfried Gnonto has not been playing too many minutes, as he’s seen more as a squad player under Daniel Farke. Leeds United has not used the Italian attacker too much as they have preferred other options since their return to the Premier League this season.

There’s no immediate national team squad at stake for Gnonto to get a move away, but he needs to keep playing to develop his game to the next level. At the moment, there are a few teams interested, as Juventus were keen a while ago.

Leeds United had thought about a sale of Gnonto, although much will depend on their own transfer activity in his position in January. Leeds United are looking at a new left-winger in the next window, with Sevilla’s Ruben Vargas one of their key targets.

Gnonto could leave if a new player arrives in his position, as that would be a clear indicator of where he stands in the group. At the moment, Fiorentina are interested, with the Italian strugglers plotting a loan move with a conditional buy obligation.

Fiorentina to sign Wilfried Gnonto?

Fiorentina are at the rock bottom of the Serie A standings, as their recent win over ten-man Udinese was their first win of the season. They have the quality to turn things around, but the club are plotting changes ahead of the January window, as they are now considering a loan move for the 22-year-old wide man from Leeds United.

Fiorentina are only willing to make the move if Leeds United are open to a loan agreement with a conditional buy obligation. That would depend on their status in the top flight as well as on how many games the 22-year-old wide man ends up playing in the second half of the season. Any move will depend on Leeds United signing a new winger in the next window, which could see Gnonto depart.
