Premier League giants Liverpool submit a €20 million offer to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window.
Dusan Vlahovic’s future has once become a big talking point. With his contract running out, the winter transfer window is Juventus’ final opportunity to raise some funds from his departure. Liverpool could look to make the most out of this situation.
The Merseyside club have been forced to look for a new striker following an injury to Alexander Isak, and according to a report from Fichajes, the Reds are keen on signing Vlahovic and have already tabled a €20 million bid for the Serbian forward.
After making a name for himself at Fiorentina, Vlahovic joined Juventus at the start of 2022. While he hasn’t really lived up to the expectations, the 25-year-old has done a decent job for the Turin-based outfit.
Prior to his adductor injury, the Serbian striker was involved in 17 matches, and he even contributed towards eight goals. Ideally, Juventus would have loved to have him around for years to come, as he has all the skills needed to be a top striker. However, that seems unlikely as his contract runs out at the end of the season.
The Old Lady were ready to offer him a new deal, but they wanted him to take a pay cut. Vlahovic isn’t willing to do that and looks set to part ways with the club. With him set to leave the club for free next summer, Juventus could end up cashing in on him in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool make moves to sign Vlahovic
Liverpool have emerged as a potential destination for the 25-year-old. The Merseyside club didn’t have any plans of signing a new number nine in January, after having added Hugo Ekitike and Isak to their ranks last summer.
However, their plans have been altered after Isak suffered an injury, which has ruled him out of the remainder of the season. As a result, Slot is keen on signing another striker, and Vlahovic is quite high on their wishlist.
They are optimistic about securing his services on a bargain, with his contract running out at the end of the season. The Merseyside club have already contacted Juventus, as they explore a deal worth €20 million. Unlike the Turin-based club, Liverpool are willing to meet his salary demands, which exceed €12 million net per season
