Crystal Palace learn the asking price for right-back target Sacha Boey, as Bayern Munich are prepared to part ways with the Frenchman.
According to Foot Mercato, Sacha Boey could be made available at a reasonable price, as Bayern Munich are ready to part ways with the French defender. The 25-year-old Bayern Munich wide man is a reported target for Crystal Palace among other sides, but the Eagles are the most intent on getting the attacker’s signature.
Sacha Boey could be made available for a transfer in the January window, as Bayern Munich does not see a future for the Frenchman at the Allianz Arena. The defender has barely made an impact since he arrived from Galatasaray, as he’s only seen as a backup of sorts despite probably being the only natural right back in the team.
Vincent Kompany might be open to the prospect of letting him leave, with Bayern Munich reportedly seeking €15 million to sell him. Considering that range, a lot of the teams previously interested in the defender might come forward with reasonable offers closer to the asking rate.
Before he moved to Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United were the calibre of clubs seeking his signature, although that level has fallen off a cliff since. Currently, the likes of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are interested in Boey, as he looks destined to arrive in the Premier League in next month’s window.
Palace are the most interested side in the defender, as Oliver Glasner seeks competition in the right wing-back role. Moreover, current first choice Daniel Muoz will remain sidelined for a considerable period, which may force the club to seek an additional star, as back-up Nathaniel Clyne may not be in shape to go through the rigours of a tight fixture list.
Will Crystal Palace sign Sacha Boey?
Palace and if Newcastle United are serious, there remain some of Boey’s most concrete options ahead of the January window. The 25-year-old Bayern Munich wide man also seeks regular game time compared to what he’s been exposed to at the moment.
Palace, in particular, could be a great option for the right-back, as he could play a huge role under Glasner in the second part of the season. The Eagles are vying for Conference League glory as well as finishing in one of the European places through their league position, as the 25-year-old Bayern Munich wide man could come in to fill a key position in the squad.
