Roony Bardghji wants Barcelona stay amid Crystal Palace, Everton links

Roony Bardghji is not keen on leaving Barcelona so soon after his arrival amid Premier League interest, with the winger eager to prove his case.

According to Fichajes, Roony Bardghji is not looking to leave Barcelona anytime soon, and certainly not in the January transfer window. There’s interest from English sides such as Crystal Palace and Everton ahead of the winter window, but the attacker is not keen on leaving Catalonia.

Roony Bardghji was a good addition to this Barcelona side, who were lacking a proper cover for star man Lamine Yamal. It was always going to be challenging for the club to recruit a secondary right winger, given the stature the Spaniard holds in the side.

They managed to sign Bardghji from FC Copenhagen, and as expected, the winger has not featured too much. A few minutes here and there have allowed him to settle into this Spanish team, but there are some concerns about whether he would ask for a departure to play regularly elsewhere.

The issue is that Hansi Flick cannot envisage using the 20-year-old whizkid anywhere else on the pitch, as he has other players for the different attacking roles. Hence, it is difficult to see Roony Bardghji playing any other role apart from being a backup to Yamal as well as an occasional starter if the Blaugrana want to rest their star man for games of less significance.

Leeds United held an interest in Bardghji ahead of the January window, although it is the likes of Everton and Crystal Palace who are mentioned as serious suitors for the 20-year-old Barcelona whizkid ahead of the winter window. While there might be a good chance for the young attacker to shine at either of those English sides, those teams are set to suffer a blow in the race.

Will Roony Bardghji leave Barcelona?

Bardghji could ideally get a more prominent role elsewhere, such as Crystal Palace or Everton, but he is not about to give up on his career at the club so soon after joining Barcelona. Hence, the youngster is not looking to leave the Catalan giants irrespective of where the interest comes from in January.

The 20-year-old Barcelona whizkid is eager to play a role in Flick’s plans moving forward, as he could be open to being the backup to Yamal in the foreseeable future. Hence, teams like Everton and Crystal Palace are set to suffer a blow in their efforts to land Roony Bardghji in January, as they could now look at alternative targets.
