Arsenal rival Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham in Tyler Adams race

Arsenal will reportedly compete with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign 26-year-old Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams.

According to an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Tyler Adams is the subject of interest from Arsenal. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the Bournemouth midfielder. Meanwhile, the Premier League club will demand around €35-40 million to part ways with the USMNT international.

Tyler Adams and his time in the Premier League

Tyler Adams has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Bournemouth from Leeds United in August 2023. Born in Wappingers Falls, the American midfielder spent his formative years in his homeland and graduated from the youth division at the New York Red Bulls. However, the 26-year-old rose in prominence during his spell with Leeds United.

Meanwhile, fitness issues have plagued Adams throughout his spell with Bournemouth, but he has also been impressive in fits and starts. The USMNT international has made over 50 appearances thus far for the Cherries while chipping in with two goals and four assists. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Move across the Premier League beckons?

Arsenal signed two midfielders in the summer transfer window, and Martin Zubimendi has been exceptional in the first half of the 2025/26 season. However, Christian Norgaard is on the wrong side of 30, and Arsenal can do with another midfielder. As for Chelsea, it is unclear why they need a new holding midfielder. However, Enzo Maresca wants another option to rotate his troops efficiently. So, Adams has emerged as a target for Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s interest in Tyler Adams makes sense. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a holding midfielder amid uncertainties surrounding Casemiro’s long-term future. Additionally, Manuel Ugarte has failed to make his mark since joining Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain last year. So, Adams is a viable target for Manchester United.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, Yves Bissouma has no future at the North London club due to repeated disciplinary violations. So, Tottenham will pursue a replacement next year, with Adams emerging as a viable target. Meanwhile, the American midfielder will not cost a bomb, with Bournemouth demanding around €35-40 million to part ways with him.

However, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham face stiff competition from Napoli and RB Leipzig for his signature. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 26-year-old USMNT international.
