Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing 20-year-old DR Congo international Noah Sadiki from high-flying Premier League club Sunderland.
According to an update by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Noah Sadiki. The two Premier League bigwigs are keen on reinforcing their first-team squads by signing a versatile midfielder next year. So, the 20-year-old Sunderland mainstay has emerged as a target for them.
The report has revealed that the Blues have already established contact over a possible move. Chelsea “acted immediately” after the Premier League clash with Sunderland on October 25, approaching the high-flying Premier League club to enquire about his price. Meanwhile, Manchester United spoke with the Brussels-born midfielder in the early stages of the 2025/26 season.
Who is Noah Sadiki?
Noah Sadiki has taken no time to establish himself as one of the best young prospects in the Premier League. The Black Cats signed the Belgian-born midfielder from Union Saint-Gilloise this past summer, and he hit the ground running at the Stadium of Light, forging a solid partnership alongside Granit Xhaka in the middle of the park.
The DR Congo international has made 15 Premier League appearances for Sunderland, and his exploits have piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs. Chelsea and Manchester United are among the prospective suitors vying for the 20-year-old midfielder’s signature.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Chelsea’s interest in Noah Sadiki is perplexing. Enzo Maresca has a stacked midfield unit, with Reece James and Malo Gusto also excelling as makeshift midfielders apart from regulars like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, and Andrey Santos. Nevertheless, several midfielders, including Marc Casado and Marc Bernal, have emerged on Chelsea’s wishlist, with Sadiki also a target.
As for Manchester United, Kobbie Mainoo’s long-term future is uncertain, as the academy graduate is unhappy about the lack of game time under Ruben Amorim. Additionally, Manuel Ugarte has failed to make his mark since joining Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain last year. Several midfielders, including Ayyoub Bouaddi, are on the Red Devils’ wishlist, with Sadiki also an option worth considering.
