According to a report from Bolavip, Ederson Castillo could soon end up joining a European giant, as Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both entered the race for his signature. They are set to battle it out for the teenage midfield sensation after having scouted him on multiple occasions in the recent past.
Castillo has come up the ranks at Liga de Quito, and he has been a part of their first team setup since 2024. The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has already made six first-team appearances, and he even has an assist to his name.
He has done wonders for club and country at the youth level, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed. While he prefers playing in the holding role, the teenager is capable enough to feature further up the pitch.
He has all the qualities to succeed at the highest level, and clubs from across Europe are keeping tabs on him. The 17-year-old, who recently won the Ecuadorian U-19 tournament, has been scouted by Manchester United as well as Bayern Munich.
