The Croatian side are unlikely to be in a position of power to stop a transfer if the player desires a switch, as his profile is something Mikel Arteta and Oliver Glasner seek in the market.

His high pressing style as well as clinical form in front of goal are crucial elements of his attributes, which have ensured the Premier League duo are interested. The Croatian side signed him back in 2023 from Fiorentina, with the Italian side still holding a buy-back clause, in the region of €15 million.
Hence, Rijeka will hold out for at least that if suitors other than Fiorentina come into the equation, as Arsenal and Crystal Palace are in the mix. Oliver Glasner would seek such a profile of a player, given that the club have not realistically replaced Eberechi Eze since his move to Arsenal in the summer.
