Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
While Manchester United are looking at the winter transfer window to try to improve their squad as they eye a top-four finish, the Red Devils have already started planning for the next summer window. According to a report from Fichajes, Ruben Amorim’s team are interested in signing Bradley Barcola, as they look to further bolster their attack.
The Manchester-based giants made significant additions to their attack in the last summer transfer window. But they still feel the need for a few more additions. They consider Barcola an ideal fit for their project and believe he could help them in the short and long run.
Barcola came up the ranks at Olympique Lyon and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before joining PSG in the summer of 2023. The 23-year-old has only gone from strength to strength under Luis Enrique.
He has been involved in a total of 121 matches for the French giants and has contributed towards 64 goals. While he remains an integral part of their long-term plans, his future has been up in the air as renewal talks haven’t really gone according to plan.
Manchester United are keen on signing Barcola
With his current deal running until the summer of 2028, PSG are still firmly in control of his future and reluctant to sell. But Manchester United seem willing to try their luck. While he prefers playing out wide on the left, the 23-year-old can feature anywhere in attack.
His versatility, pace, dribbling and finishing make him just the perfect fit for a United team that are looking to return to the top of European football. The Red Devils are plotting a surprise swap deal to sign him. They are ready to offer Marcus Rashford plus cash to sign the €70 million-rated star.
PSG are interested in Rashford, who is currently on loan at Barcelona. If the Catalan giants do not trigger the buy option, United believe it would be a smart move to use him to sign Barcola, even though they will have to make a significant financial outlay.
Signing Barcola will be a massive statement of intent from the Red Devils. While they are very keen on his signature, it certainly won’t be easy, as PSG are pushing hard to ensure he continues at the club for years to come.
