Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United face Newcastle United battle in Antoine Semenyo race

A host of Premier League sides are firmly in the mix for Antoine Semenyo, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

According to Ekrem Konur, the race for Antoine Semenyo could see many top-tier clubs battle it out for his signature. The Ghanaian attacker will be a hot topic ahead of January owing to a £65 million release clause in his contract, as Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United remain keen.

In a market that is screaming for quality attacking options, Antoine Semenyop stands out for many reasons. The attacker, at Bournemouth, has been sensational since the start of the season, and widely seen as the best wide man in the division at the moment.

A recent report revealed a £65 million release clause in his contract, which makes it all the more attractive for many clubs to take their chances. Having proven his worth at Bournemouth, the club are somewhat powerless to prevent his departure if one of the interested teams triggers his release clause.

Liverpool have held talks over a move, as they are still looking to bolster their attack following an enormous spend in the summer. The Merseysiders are widely seen as one of the favourites to land the £65 million-rated star, although there’s stiff competition in place.

Despite reports that Semenyo might stay until the summer, should any club make a serious move forward, it could see the £65 million-rated star leave Bournemouth. Arsenal are also seen as an interested party, and there are many reports stating Semenyo is a boyhood Gunners fan, which could make it an exciting prospect for Mikel Arteta to get the attacker.

What next for Antoine Semenuyo?

Some are widely expected to be part of the race, but some are surprise entries. For instance, Manchester United are keen to land Semenyo despite their outlay on wide attackers such as Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the summer. The Red Devils are eager to bring another big name, and could make their move for the £65 million-rated star.

Newcastle United are also interested despite having two quality options on the left wing in Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes. Should Semenyo somehow arrive at St James Park, there’s a big chance for one of those two attackers to depart, although the Bournemouth star can also equally play on the right flank, which remains a problem area for Eddie Howe as things stand.
