Galatasaray considering Mohamed Salah swoop, Liverpool ponder sale

Galatasaray are considering bringing Mohamed Salah to Istanbul in January as Liverpool could ponder a sale of their talisman.

According to Fichajes, Galatasaray is pondering making a move for Mohamed Salah ahead of the January window. The attacker is stirring up speculation at Liverpool, with the Merseysiders now ready to consider a sale for the right offer.

Galatasaray have shown plenty of ambition in the transfer market over the last season or two, with the quality of players they have signed helping them grow as a giant on the continent. The Turkish giants are now angling for another top player, with Mohamed Salah firmly on their radar ahead of January.

With the likes of Victor Osimhen already in their ranks, Galatasaray can make a big statement of intent if they can manage a signing like Salah. They have the financial means to get a deal done, with the report stating, the Turkish giants are ready to pay him a salary package of 20-22 million per season backed by sponsors.

At such a price, Salah could be tempted to make the switch, as he’s currently reported to be unhappy at Liverpool following recent events. The Egyptian has been dropped by Arne Slot for the last two games in a row, and should that pattern continue at the weekend, the speculation is only expected to mount further.

Salah is not currently pushing for an exit, although the report hints at the possibility of Liverpool trying to cash in if the right offer comes in. The Merseysiders have previously evaded offers from Saudi Arabia to keep hold of the Egyptian, but given the current circumstances, they could consider a sale if the proposal suits their cause.

Could Galatasaray sign Mohamed Salah?

There’s a distinct possibility that Salah may want to consider an offer from the Turkish giants, and given the reporting on the potential salary package, it could be similar to what he makes at Liverpool at the moment. However, the Egyptian also has lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, which could pose a huge threat to Galatasaray’s chances in the race.

Saudi sides have been angling for a move for Salah for over two years now, and given the current situation of the Liverpool key star, they are more than hopeful. However, Galatasaray could realistically give them a run for their money and prise away Salah if they can conjure up the right offer to please Liverpool’s bosses.
