Aston Villa are eager to get ahead of the competition in the race for Nathan De Cat, as Tottenham and Bayern Munich circle.
According to Caught Offside, Aston Villa are pushing ahead with their pursuit of exciting Belgian teenager Nathan De Cat. Unai Emery views the Belgian prodigy as a good addition for the future of the club, with the Birmingham giants now eager to take the front seat in the race as Tottenham and Bayern Munich circle.
Anderlecht could be forced to make a big decision on one of their top talents in Nathan De Cat, as the interest mounts up for the Belgian prodigy. The teenager has become a key member of the first team plans, with the club eager to keep hold of him at least until the summer of 2027.
However, the report states Anderlecht could be tested with an offer in the region of €35 million, as the Belgian side might even look to keep the player despite a sale in January. A host of Premier League sides are interested, with Aston Villa the ones currently pushing to get ahead of the competition.
Unai Emery views De Cat as a good prospect for the future of Aston Villa’s midfield, and is hoping the club advances by opening talks with Anderlecht. It appears Aston Villa are eager to make an offer in the region of €22-25 million up front with more in bonuses, as well as a lucrative sell-on clause.
Moreover, Villa are also open to the prospect of sending De Cat back on loan to Anderlecht so that they do not interrupt the teenager’s development. Whether they can open talks and tempt Anderlecht to the negotiation table remains to be seen, as that would be a brilliant step forward.
Are Bayern Munich and Tottenham chasing Nathan De Cat?
Bayern Munich and Tottenham are also interested alongside Aston Villa, as they are eager to add De Cat to their exciting midfield options. However, the pathway at Spurs could be a bit challenging for the €35 million-rated Belgian prodigy, given the current setup is somewhat crowded, also with young stars like Lucas Bergwall and Archie Gray, among others.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are not expected to approach in January as they are eager to bring him only in the summer. However, should one of the Premier League teams advance in the race for the €35 million-rated Belgian prodigy, the Bavarians could enter the conversation, as they too are eager to build a young core for the future.
