According to Ekrem Konur, Konstantinos Karetsas is attracting massive interest in the market, with a host of continental clubs vying for his signature. The 18-year-old Greek wonderkid is also a target of Manchester City, who are part of the running alongside four other continental sides.
Konstantinos Karetsas has been a sensation for Belgian side Genk, as he has become a key star for the team this season. Still only 19, the midfielder is showing signs of massive progress and brings about the debate to become one of the top-rated midfielders in the future.
Some of the continental giants are already angling for a move in the January window to sign the 18-year-old Greek wonderkid and develop his talents. Among those are Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and AS Monaco, although the big contender there is Manchester City.
Genk will be in a position to demand a big fee to sell Karetsas, with his contract there expiring only in 2029. Hence, the competition could diminish if the Belgian side demands a significant fee, meaning the likes of Manchester City could have a big chance to move ahead in the race.
Karetsas could potentially have his pick of clubs in January if he chooses to leave Genk for a bigger challenge elsewhere. However, the power of Manchester City, both on the sporting and financial side, could tip the race in their favour.

Manchester City have been accumulating younger talents to develop their talents at their club. They recently signed Sverre Nypan, a player who is similar positionally to Karetsas, as signing the 18-year-old Greek wonderkid would mean complications for the Norwegian talent in the future.
Manchester City does not particularly need to bring in a new player in the attacking midfield role at the moment, given that they signed Rayan Cherki in the summer. They also have the likes of Phil Foden as a potential option in the role, but the idea of signing Karetsas would mean securing another talent that would shine in the future.
