Borussia Dortmund set to demand £75 million for Karim Adeyemi

Liverpool are plotting a move for RB Salzburg wonderkid Karim Adeyemi who continues to go from strength to strength in Austria

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly demand around £75 million to sell 23-year-old German international Karim Adeyemi amid his links with Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Karim Adeyemi. The two Premier League bigwigs are keen on reinforcing their offensive units by signing a versatile attacker in the winter transfer window. So, the Borussia Dortmund forward has emerged as a target for the English giants.

The latest update has revealed more information, as the Bundesliga giants are demanding around £75 million to part ways with the Munich native. While Adeyemi is also a target for Inter Milan, he only wants to move to the Premier League. Meanwhile, the young winger’s talks with Borussia Dortmund over a new contract have stalled.

How has Karim Adeyemi fared at Borussia Dortmund?

Karim Adeyemi has made significant progress since joining Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2022. While the 23-year-old took some time to get going, he has come into his own since the 2024/25 season began, even though fitness issues plagued him during the campaign.

Meanwhile, the German international has been solid thus far in the 2025/26 season, chipping in with five goals and five assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Adeyemi’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the winter transfer window.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Arsenal recently joined the race to sign Karim Adeyemi, with reports claiming they have leapfrogged Manchester United in the battle for his signature. The interest makes sense, as the Gunners are scouring the market for a versatile winger who can compete with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left flank. Additionally, the latter is on the wrong side of 30. So, Adeyemi is a viable target for Arsenal.

As for Manchester United, the Red Devils are combing the market for a versatile attacker heading into the winter transfer window, as they will lose Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo in a few weeks for the Africa Cup of Nations. Additionally, with Manchester United aspiring to return to Europe next season, they need more options in the final third. However, while Adeyemi is a viable target, he will cost a sizeable fee.

Borussia Dortmund will demand around £75 million to part ways with the German international. While Adeyemi is also a target for Inter Milan, he wants to move to the Premier League, with recent reports claiming he prefers Arsenal over Manchester United. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 23-year-old winger.
