Ez Abde is happy and content at La Liga club Real Betis amid his links with Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
According to a report by Africa Foot, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in Ez Abde. The two Premier League clubs are keen on reinforcing their offensive units by signing wide attackers in the next two transfer windows. So, the 23-year-old Real Betis winger has emerged as a target for the English duo.
However, a January move will not materialise, as Abde is happy and content at the Andalusian club’s environment. The Beni Mellal native “even confided to those close to him that he has no intention whatsoever of leaving” in the winter transfer window. A source told Africa Foot, “Abde feels good at Betis. He’s having a great time, he’s progressing and enjoying the team’s confidence.”
Ez Abde and his time with Real Betis
Ez Abde has landed on his feet since joining Real Betis from Barcelona in September 2023. The 23-year-old spent his formative years in Spain and graduated from the youth division at Hercules CF. However, the young winger rose in prominence during his spell with Barcelona before establishing a stable foothold at Real Betis.
The Moroccan international has been hot off the blocks in the 2025/26 season, chipping in with five goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Abde’s progress at Real Betis has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Ez Abde has been on Aston Villa’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as Unai Emery wants more firepower in the final third. With Ollie Watkins struggling to perform as well as he would have liked, the Villans need better productivity from players behind the English international. So, Abde is a viable target for Aston Villa.
As for Crystal Palace, the South London club signed Yeremy Pino and Christantus Uche to bolster the offensive unit in the summer transfer window. However, while Yeremy has been solid in the last few months, Uche faces an uncertain future at Selhurst Park and may not complete a permanent move to Crystal Palace. So, Abde is an option worth considering for the Eagles.
However, the 23-year-old Moroccan international is happy and content at Real Betis, and he will remain in La Liga for the foreseeable future. It will be interesting to see who becomes a top target for Aston Villa and Crystal Palace heading into the winter transfer window.
