Real Madrid prefer La Liga loan for Endrick amid Manchester United links

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United have reportedly suffered a blow in their pursuit of Real Madrid attacking sensation Endrick.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Manchester United are keen on signing Endrick on loan in the upcoming winter transfer window. But they are unlikely to get their hands on the Brazilian sensation, as Real Madrid prefer sending him on loan to a Spanish club.

Endrick came up the ranks at Palmeiras, and on his way up, he was already a big name in the world of football, thanks to his massive potential. While multiple top clubs were after his signature, Real Madrid reached a pre-agreement with the Brazilian club back in 2022.

The South American wonderkid ended up moving to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2024, and he had a promising debut campaign. While he only had limited game time, the 19-year-old striker certainly made the most out of the limited opportunities.

However, things have not been that great for him of late. The teenager was out injured at the start of the season. While he is back fit, he is yet to play a part under Xabi Alonso. With Endrick struggling to get minutes and the World Cup coming up next summer, he is worried about his situation.

The youngster is keen on regular game time, and he is willing to leave Real Madrid for now. The Spanish giants are also ready to sanction a temporary departure to ensure his development is not harmed.

Manchester United are unlikely to sign Endrick in January

Manchester United have emerged as a potential destination. The Red Devils are looking to add more firepower to their ranks mid-season, and Endrick is quite high on their wishlist. They see it as a great risk-free option to bolster their attack in the short term.

While Ruben Amorim’s team are after his signature and have already made an enquiry, they have suffered a blow in their pursuit as Real Madrid will prefer sending him out on loan to a Spanish club. The Merengues want him to have a better understanding of Spanish football, and regular minutes in La Liga could do wonders for him.

Real Sociedad have emerged as the front-runners to secure his services. While Valencia are also in the mix, Real Sociedad have a strong bond with Los Blancos, which might just help them land Endrick on loan in January.
