AC Milan competing with Chelsea in Joaquin Panichelli chase

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Argentina attacker Joaquin Panichelli from Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg.

According to a report by Italian outlet Milan Live, AC Milan are also interested in Joaquin Panichelli, and it will be interesting to see if they can beat Chelsea to his signature. The 23-year-old striker has seven goals in eight matches this season, and he could prove to be an excellent addition for both teams.

However, Chelsea are well stocked in the attacking unit right now after signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap during the summer transfer window. They might not be able to accommodate another striker in the starting lineup. The 23-year-old will be hoping to play regularly at this stage of his career and joining the Serie A club could be ideal.

Milan could use Panichelli

AC Milan need a quality striker to lead the line for them, and the 23-year-old would be an excellent addition for them in the long run. Panichelli has shown his quality in France, and there is no doubt that he has the ability to succeed in Italy as well. The player is highly talented, and he has a bright future ahead of himself.

The youngster will look to play for a big club, and clubs like Chelsea and AC Milan will be attractive destinations for him. However, one has to consider the fact that his club Strasbourg are owned by the same group that owns Chelsea. Therefore, the Premier League club could have a major advantage in the race to sign him, having also regularly scouted him.

The transfer might eventually come down to the wishes of the player. If he decides to move to AC Milan, the Ligue 1 outfit could be under pressure to sell him to them. Chelsea have already invested in a couple of strikers, and they should look to improve other areas of their squad.

The Blues should bring in an elite winger who will add goals and creativity to the side. They must look to sign a quality central defender as well. Chelsea have suffered because of injury problems at the back, and they need more depth in that area of the pitch.
