Willian Pacho offered new deal by PSG amid Liverpool, Real Madrid links

Liverpool and Real Madrid have suffered a massive blow in their pursuit of 24-year-old PSG defensive sensation Willian Pacho.

According to an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Liverpool and Real Madrid are interested in acquiring the services of Willian Pacho. But, they have already suffered a blow in their pursuit as Paris Saint-Germain have no intentions of negotiating his departure and have already handed him a contract extension offer.

On the back of an impressive season at Eintracht Frankfurt, Pacho joined the reigning Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League winners in the summer of 2024, and he has only gone from strength to strength since.

During his debut campaign, the 24-year-old centre-back was involved in 57 matches across competitions. He was a rock at the back and even contributed towards two goals. The Ecuadorian international has established himself as one of their mainstays in no time.

Willian Pacho’s performances have not gone unnoticed, as multiple top clubs are now keen on his signature. Real Madrid and Liverpool are both interested in his services. Los Blancos could end up parting ways with Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba at the end of the season, with their contract running out.

Real Madrid do need to bring in someone who can help replace them in the long run. While they do have their eyes on potential free agents, Pacho is also a part of their wishlist. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also looking to sign a new centre-back in 2026 after having missed out on Marc Guehi on deadline day.

While the Crystal Palace skipper remains on their radar, they also have their eyes on PSG’s Willian Pacho. With Ibrahima Konate’s contract running out, the 24-year-old could end up replacing him at Anfield.

Both Real Madrid and Liverpool admire him, but they are unlikely to get their hands on the South American sensation. PSG do not intend to negotiate his departure. He is one of their mainstays, and they are already looking to secure his long-term future with a new deal.

The club have handed him a new contract offer that will extend his stay until 2031, rewarding him for his performances and securing his future at the same time. Luis Campos has already met his agents back in September to discuss a potential renewal. The new deal will increase his fixed wages significantly, and it also have performance-based bonuses.
