Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have established contact with Juventus as they look to sign their attacking mainstay, Kenan Yildiz.
According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal are interested in acquiring the services of Turkish attacking sensation Kenan Yildiz, and they have made formal contact with Juventus to explore the possibility of signing the young winger.
Yildiz was a part of the Bayern Munich youth setup back in the day. Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan for him, and he ended up signing for Juventus in the summer of 2022. Just over a year later, the Turkish international got promoted to the first team.
He has since gone from strength to strength and has established himself as a key figure in the team. He had an impressive Club World Cup campaign and has carried that form into the new season. In his five outings across competitions, the 20-year-old forward has two goals and four assists.
His sensational rise hasn’t gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs want to prise him away from Juventus. Chelsea knocked on the doors of the Italian giants during the summer. They reportedly made an offer worth €65-€70 million, which was turned down.
The Old Lady considers him an integral part of their plans moving ahead, and they do not intend to sell him. Only a massive financial offer can change their stance. The report suggests an offer between €80 and €100 million could make them rethink. If an interested club considers a deal further down the line, the price could go up to €100-€120 million.
Arsenal are making moves for Yildiz
Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination for the 20-year-old. The Gunners are looking for an upgrade on the left flank, and Yildiz can certainly help their cause. His ability to feature as a number ten as well as a second striker could also come in handy.
Not only will he strengthen their attack in the short term, but Yildiz could prove to be a great investment for the future. As a result, the Gunners have already established formal contact with Juventus as they look to sign him in 2026. The North London club want to learn more about a potential transfer.
They have begun preliminary talks with the club and the player’s representatives as they try to gauge his willingness to join them. The Old Lady will not only have to convince him, but they will have to strike a deal with Juventus, who continue to insist that Yildiz is a central figure in their plans and they won’t sell unless a crazy offer arrives.
