Fulham in transfer tussle to sign Jonah Kusi-Asare

Fulham will reportedly compete with Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven to sign 18-year-old Swedish attacking prospect Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich on deadline day.

According to a report by Sky Deutschland, Jonah Kusi-Asare is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the final hours of the summer transfer window. So, the 18-year-old Bayern Munich attacking sensation has emerged as a target for the West London outfit.

Fulham will face stiff competition from RSC Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven in the three-way battle for the Swede’s signature. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will likely sanction Kusi-Asare’s loan exit in the final hours of the summer transfer window, albeit after extending his contract, which expires next summer.

Who is Jonah Kusi-Asare?

Jonah Kusi-Asare is one of the brightest young prospects in the Bundesliga, having made considerable progress since joining Bayern Munich from AIK in January 2024. While the 18-year-old has managed only six minutes of game time across two appearances thus far for Bayern Munich, he has a bright future, with the Bavarian giants holding him in high regard.

However, while the Swedish attacking sensation has the talent to be Harry Kane’s long-term successor, he will unlikely receive regular game time in the 2025/26 season. So, a summer exit on loan is the ideal solution for Kusi-Asare, with Fulham competing with RSC Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven for his signature.

London calling?

Fulham’s interest in Jonah Kusi-Asare is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a striker in the final hours of the summer transfer window, even though Marco Silva has Rodrigo Muniz and Raul Jimenez in his squad. However, recent reports have linked Fulham with several centre-forwards, including Timo Werner.

Kusi-Asare has now emerged as a viable target for Fulham, with the West London club competing with RSC Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven in the three-way battle for his signature. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will likely sanction the 18-year-old Swede’s loan exit, although they first want to extend his contract, which ends next summer.

Meanwhile, Fulham will aim to complete multiple offensive reinforcements before the summer transfer window shuts down in a few hours, and they are also keen on signing Raheem Sterling. It will be interesting to see if Kusi-Asare and a wide attacker arrive at Craven Cottage ahead of the deadline.
