Everton considering permanent move for Jack Grealish

Everton are already considering signing Jack Grealish permanently, having held discussions with Manchester City.

According to Fichajes, Everton are already considering signing Jack Grealish on a permanent deal despite only bringing the attacker on loan. The Toffees have already held talks with Manchester City over signing him on a price point lower than the one in his loan deal, which is only a buy option.

Jack Grealish made an immediate impact on his full debut for Everton at the new Hill-Dickinson Stadium. The Toffees took on Brighton in the first-ever Premier League game at the new venue, and Grealish put in a man-of-the-match performance, providing the assists for both the goals scored on Sunday.

Grealish joined Everton on a loan deal which has a £50 million buy option inserted in it. The Toffees are already impressed with the summer signing and would ike to make the move permanent as soon as the 2026 summer window opens.

Everton have already held talks with Manchester City, as per the report, to find a solution to pay lower than the current buy option price point. The report states, the Toffees are prepared to pay between €30-40 million for the attacker, as he may not have a future at the Etihad anymore.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester City can agree to lower their demands, given that they may not entertain the player any longer. It’s also worth noting that Manchester City paid around the €110 million mark to sign him a few years ago from Aston Villa, meaning the buy option was designed to recoup as much as possible from the investment.

Everton are planning further signings in this window

Everton are by no means done with their summer business, as the club are still planning late activity to strengthen David Moyes’ squad. Tyler Dibling is close to signing for the club, while the club are also looking at midfield options that give the manager different ideas.

Yves Bissouma has been linked with a move, and there’s a chance to sign the Malian international as he may not be part of Tottenham’s plans anymore. Hence, the Toffees are expected to stay active in the last few days of the window, as Moyes will want some key signings in place before the deadline.
