Everton will reportedly look to sign 19-year-old English attacking sensation Tyler Dibling from EFL Championship club Southampton in the summer transfer window.
According to an update by reputed German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tyler Dibling is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing another wide attacker in the summer transfer window despite completing a loan deal for Jack Grealish. So, the 19-year-old Southampton prodigy has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
Everton recently failed with a bid worth €30-31 million plus add-ons to sign the Englishman from Southampton. The Saints have presented a counter-offer to the Merseyside outfit, although the valuation is unclear. However, the proposal is slightly lower than the EFL Championship club’s asking price of €55-65 million.
Tyler Dibling and his rapid rise
Tyler Dibling has become a household name since breaking into Southampton’s first-team squad. While the 19-year-old has not been highly productive, he was a standout performer, even as Southampton suffered relegation from the Premier League after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign. He has turned out nearly 50 times thus far while chipping in with four goals and three assists for the EFL Championship club.
Meanwhile, the English attacker’s potential has captured the attention of several well-known clubs. The teenage sensation is a target for many well-known Premier League outfits and European bigwigs. However, Everton will aim to beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.
Premier League return on the horizon?
Everton’s interest in Tyler Dibling is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a wide attacker this summer after choosing not to complete permanent moves for Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom after their loan deals expired. Several candidates, including Zuriko Davitashvili, have emerged on Everton’s radar, with Dibling also a viable target.
However, they have failed with a bid worth €30-31 million plus add-ons, with Southampton demanding around €55-65 million to part ways with the 19-year-old Englishman. Meanwhile, the Saints have presented a counter-offer to Everton, with the proposal being slightly lower than €55-65 million.
While recent reports have suggested that Everton would walk away from a summer move for Dibling, it is unclear how they will respond to Southampton’s counter-offer. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the English attacking sensation.
