Serie A club Bologna will reportedly have the opportunity to sign 24-year-old Spanish winger Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Bryan Gil may embark on an adventure in Serie A in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered Bologna the opportunity to sign the out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur winger. The Serie A club’s scouts have monitored the Spanish attacker’s performances, and a move may be on the cards.
Bryan Gil and his Tottenham travails
Bryan Gil has endured a frustrating spell since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Sevilla in a deal worth €25 million in July 2021. A native of Barbate, the Spaniard spent his formative years in his homeland, starting his youth career at his hometown outfit Barbate CF before joining Sevilla in 2012.
The Spaniard spent nearly a decade with Los Nervionenses, graduating from the Ansalusian club’s academy before rising in prominence during a loan spell with SD Eibar. However, Gil barely featured for Sevilla before joining Tottenham, although the youngster could not make his mark at the North London club, either.
The Spanish winger has embarked on three loan spells in La Liga between January 2022 and June 2025 and spent the 2024/25 campaign with Girona. Gil turned out 32 times for the Catalan outfit while chipping in with four goals and three assists. An adventure in Serie A may be on the cards, with intermediaries offering him to Bologna over a move in the summer transfer window.
Serie A adventure beckons?
Bologna can do with a player like Bryan Gil in the summer transfer window. The Serie A outfit lost Dan Ndoye earlier in the summer transfer window when he joined Nottingham Forest. So, the Rossoblu must dip into the market for a wide attacker, with the out-of-favour Tottenham winger an option worth considering.
While intermediaries have offered Bologna the opportunity to sign the 24-year-old Spaniard, it is unclear if the Serie A outfit will chase a permanent move or a season-long loan deal. However, Bologna’s scouts have closely monitored Gil’s performances.
So, with the Rossoblu already having a file on the Spanish winger, a summer move may be on the cards. However, Bologna may face stiff competition from La Liga clubs for Gil’s signature in the summer transfer window.
