Atletico Madrid ready to entertain bids to sell Samuel Lino

La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to cash in on 25-year-old Brazilian winger Samuel Lino in the summer transfer window amid his links with Everton.

According to a report by Spanish outlet AS, Samuel Lino is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Atletico Madrid winger has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.

The latest update has boosted Everton’s prospects, as the Spanish giants are ready to entertain bids to part ways with Lino in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Los Rojiblancos would like to replace the South American attacker by signing another winger this year.

Who is Samuel Lino?

Samuel Lino has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Atletico Madrid from Gil Vicente in July 2022. A native of Santo Andre, the 25-year-old winger spent his formative years in Brazil and graduated from the youth division at Flamengo. The player had to bide his time at Atletico Madrid, as Los Rojiblancos immediately sent him on loan to Valencia in the 2022/23 season.

The Brazilian winger has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Atletico Madrid while chipping in with 12 goals and 16 assists. However, Lino’s long-term future at Estadio Metropolitano is uncertain, with Everton among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Everton’s interest in Samuel Lino is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a new wide attacker this summer after choosing not to complete permanent deals for Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom. So, David Moyes wants Everton to reinforce the offensive unit by signing a winger.

Several candidates, including Takefusa Kubo, have emerged on Everton’s radar, with Lino also a viable target. The latest update has boosted the Merseyside club’s prospects, with Atletico Madrid ready to cash in on the South American winger in the summer transfer window.

However, it is unclear how much Los Rojiblancos will demand to part ways with the 25-year-old Brazilian wide player. It will be interesting to see if Lino moves to Everton in the summer transfer window.
