Turkish giants Fenerbahce are reportedly willing to wait until August to sign 27-year-old Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Hurriyet, as relayed by Sport Witness, Marcus Rashford is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce. The Turkish Super Lig heavyweights are eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 27-year-old Manchester United attacker has emerged as a target for the Yellow Canaries.
The struggling Premier League giants want around €45 milion to part ways with Rashford in the summer transfer window. However, Fenerbahce will happily wait until August to secure the Englishman’s services, hoping it will lead to a drop in Manchester United’s asking price.
Marcus Rashford and his Manchester United state
Marcus Rashford has become “persona non grata” at Manchester United. The 27-year-old has been on an individual training program during pre-season and spent the second half of the 2024/25 season with Arsenal. He amassed four goals and six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions for the West Midlands outfit. However, a permanent move to Villa Park has not seen the light of day.
Meanwhile, the English international has no future at Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim sanctioning his departure from Old Trafford. However, Rashford has no shortage of clubs pursuing his signature, with Fenerbahce among the prospective suitors vying for his services in the summer transfer window.
Will Rashford move to Turkiye?
Fenerbahce’s interest in Marcus Rashford is understandable. The Turkish giants are scouring the market for a versatile attacker this summer after parting ways with Dusan Tadic and Allan Saint-Maximin, with the latter returning to Al-Ahli after his loan spell in the 2024/25 season. So, several candidates, including Leon Bailey, have emerged on Fenerbahce’s radar.
However, Rashford is also a viable target, with Fenerbahce playing the waiting game to secure his services in the summer transfer window. The Yellow Canaries are ready to bide their time until August, hoping Manchester United’s asking price of €45 million to sell the Englishman lowers.
However, convincing Rashford to move to Turkiye may be a tall order, considering the 27-year-old English international is pining for a move to Barcelona. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Manchester United outcast.
