Everton may reportedly look to re-sign 28-year-old English wide player Jack Harrison from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Football Insider, Jack Harrison is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 28-year-old wantaway Leeds United winger has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
Meanwhile, the Englishman is keen on departing from Elland Road in the summer transfer window, as he has “burnt his bridges” at Leeds United after his two loan spells in as many seasons at Everton. So, a summer exit is on the cards, and Harrison will unlikely play for Leeds United again.
Jack Harrison and his situation
Jack Harrison has struggled for stability since Leeds United suffered relegation from the Premier League in the 2022/23 season. The 28-year-old was a mainstay in the final third for the West Yorkshire outfit for several seasons but has spent the last two campaigns on loan at Everton.
While the English wide man was impressive in his first season with Everton, he was dreadful in the 2024/25 campaign, managing only one goal and one assist in 38 appearances in all competitions. However, Harrison’s stock at Everton remains high, with the Merseyside club mulling over re-signing him in the summer transfer window.
Merseyside return on the horizon?
Everton’s interest in Jack Harrison is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a new wide attacker after allowing Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom to return to Leeds United and Napoli following the 2024/25 season. So, several candidates, including Johan Bakayoko, have emerged on Everton’s radar.
However, Bakayoko is closing in on joining RB Leipzig from PSV Eindhoven, with Harrison emerging as an alternative to the Belgian international. The 28-year-old Englishman has “burnt his bridges” at Leeds United after his two loan spells with Everton in the last two campaigns.
While the Toffees have yet to decide whether they will rekindle the move to re-sign Harrison in the summer transfer window, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the English wide player as he looks to leave Leeds United.
