Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are reportedly keen on signing 30-year-old Belgian international Leandro Trossard from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Fener Ajans, Leandro Trossard is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce. The Turkish Super Lig giants are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker. So, the 30-year-old Arsenal forward has emerged as a target for the Yellow Canaries.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are ready to cash in on the Waterschei native in the summer transfer window, thus boosting Fenerbahce’s prospects. An update by Sacha Tavolieri via Fotospor has revealed that Arsenal will demand around €20 million to part ways with Trossard this summer.
How has Leandro Trossard fared at Arsenal?
Leandro Trossard has come leaps and bounds since joining Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023. The 30-year-old hit the ground running at the Emirates, and he has been a dependable backup attacker for the North London club in the last two and a half years.
The Belgian international has turned out 124 times thus far for Arsenal while chipping in with 28 goals and 23 assists. However, Trossard faces an uncertain future at the North London club, with recent reports linking him with Saudi Pro League outfit and several Serie A clubs. But a move to Turkiye may be on the cards, with Fenerbahce among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Turkish adventure beckons?
Fenerbahce’s interest in Leandro Trossard is understandable. The Yellow Canaries are scouring the market for a productive wide attacker this summer amid uncertainties surrounding several wingers. So, several candidates, including Jadon Sancho, have emerged on Fenerbahce’s radar, with Trossard also a viable target.
The report by Feners Ajans has suggested that the Turkish Super Lig giants are “working tirelessly to have Leandro Trossard join the Portugal camp”. Meanwhile, Arsenal will be happy to cash in on the former Brighton & Hove Albion attacker in the summer transfer window, and the Gunners will demand around €20 million to part ways with him in the coming weeks.
However, it is unclear if Fenerbahce will be ready to fork out €20 million to sign the 30-year-old Belgian international in the summer transfer window. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the versatile Arsenal attacker.
