Arsenal unlikely to sign Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal are keen on signing a quality striker this summer, and they have been heavily linked with Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in recent months.

According to report by insider Team News and Tix, Arsenal could now walk away from the move to sign Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window. The deal seems unlikely for the Slovenian international. Apparently, the Bundesliga club wanted €83 million for the highly-rated striker upfront.

The 22-year-old was one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga last season, and he had 27 goal contributions in all competitions. There is no doubt that he would have been a quality acquisition for Arsenal. However, the move seems difficult right now. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal decide to move on to other options.

Arsenal have been keen on signing Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres as well. The Swedish international is expected to be on the move after scoring 54 goals last season. Gyokeres is a world-class player, and he could transform Arsenal in the attack.

Sesko would have been a younger option with more potential. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal decide to come back for him in future. Meanwhile, the Slovenian striker will be disappointed to have missed out on a move to Arsenal. They were serious about signing him, and it would have been a huge opportunity for the player.

Arsenal need a reliable goalscorer

Arsenal will be hoping to win major trophies next season, and they need top-quality attackers. The Gunners have struggled to score goals consistently. They must look to address that area of the pitch before the window closes. It will be interesting to see who they end up with. Meanwhile, the Slovenian will look to continue his development with regular football in Germany, and he will hope to join an elite club in future.

Arsenal made it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season, and they finished second in the Premier League table. If they can bring in a couple of intelligent additions this summer, there is no reason why they cannot get over the line. They must look to sign players who can make a game-changing contribution next season.
