Inter Milan rival Barcelona in Marcus Rashford chase

Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United misfit Marcus Rashford during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Inter Milan will compete with Barcelona in the race to sign Marcus Rashford. The English international managed 20 goal contributions this past season, and he is unwanted at Manchester United.

The Manchester United misfit is expected to be sold permanently during the summer transfer window. The player was at Aston Villa during the second half of the season. Rashford needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and joining Inter Milan or Barcelona would be ideal for him.

Barcelona won the La Liga title, and they will be an attractive destination for the player. He will be hoping to fight for major trophies with them. The Blaugrana are one of the best clubs in the world, and the opportunity to join them can be hard to turn down.

Barcelona need more quality and depth in the attacking unit, and Rashford will be able to add goals and creativity to the side. He is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three. So, it is hardly surprising that Hansi Flick wants Rashford at the club.

Inter Milan could use attacking reinforcements

Meanwhile, Inter Milan finished second in the Serie A table this season, and they were the runners-up in the UEFA Champions League as well. The Nerazzurri are undoubtedly a top team, and they will be hoping to fight for major trophies once again next season. They could use more creativity and cutting edge in the final, and Rashford would be a quality acquisition.

The 27-year-old English international has proven himself in the Premier League over the years, and there is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in Italy and Spain. It will be interesting to see what the player decides.

Manchester United will look to recoup a substantial amount of money for him as they look to rebuild the squad. They will look to get rid of their fringe players and bring in upgrades. Rashford does not have a future at Old Trafford, and he needs to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football once again.
