Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen to explore a move for unsettled Manchester City star Jack Grealish.
According to Give Me Sport, Jack Grealish could have a host of clubs chasing for his signature ahead of the summer. Former club Aston Villa are joined by Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur among others in the race for the 29-year-old Manchester City ace, who has not had the best of campaigns at the Etihad.
A player of Jack Grealish’s quality continues to spend more time on the Manchester City bench when the wider consensus is for him to play regularly. Pep Guardiola does not see it that way, even though the manager continues to rate him highly.
The Manchester City team on the whole has been a failure this season with the FA Cup the only success they can achieve from a silverware point of view. Some high-profile stars have faced massive criticisms over their performances this campaign, including Grealish, who has managed to start only seven of his 19 games played in the Premier League this season.
Having cost a whopping £100 million back in 2021, the player has not particularly lived up to his reputation. He will enter the final two years of his £300,000-a-week deal in the summer, which could make Manchester City think about selling Grealish if the price is right.
Manchester City are expecting offers on the table for the English attacker, which could make their stance clear, as Guardiola is not particularly pushing for him to be sold. There have been interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham before January, as the duo could chase the 29-year-old Manchester City ace alongside former club Aston Villa.
Jack Grealish to have big suitors in the summer
Aston Villa are certainly interested in exploring a move for Grealish if the finances of the deal suit their cause. Neither Unai Emery’s side nor the others are expected to match his current salary package at Manchester City, as the player is thought to be open to the prospect of continuing with his existing employer.
Newcastle United could potentially have a big chance if they can propose a decent enough contract as well as the prospect of Champions League football. Tottenham are not expected to be preferred more than the other suitors, although they are seen as a potential option as they do represent one of the big six in the Premier League. Either way, Grealish could be on the move, with some big offers likely to arrive.
