Andrea Berta ready to make Bukayo Saka Arsenal’s highest-paid player

Andrea Berta is reportedly ready to make 23-year-old English international Bukayo Saka the highest-paid player at Arsenal.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Andrea Berta is working on tying Bukayo Saka to a bumper new contract in the coming months. Arsenal’s new sporting director is ready to make the 23-year-old attacking mainstay the highest-paid player at the North London club.

Saka has already insisted that he wants to stay at Arsenal for the long haul. The Englishman said, “For me, I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge. I think it is pretty clear — the fans know how much I love them and you saw when I came on on Tuesday [against Everton], I think they love me back so it is a good relationship.”

“I am really happy to be here and I’m just focused on winning. I don’t think anyone is really in a rush. I have got two years left on my contract so it is pretty relaxed. Everyone knows my thoughts and I’ve let you guys know as well so I don’t think there’s any rush really.”

Bukayo Saka has established himself as one of the best players in the world since breaking into the first-team squad at Arsenal. The 23-year-old had to bide his time and hone his skills before becoming the undisputed first-choice right-sided attacker for the North London club. In addition, he has been a regular for England, making 43 appearances for the Three Lions.

Widespread reports have claimed that Andrea Berta wants to tie several Arsenal stars, including Bukayo Saka, to new contracts, with Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba also in line to sign improved deals. However, Saka will be the biggest benefactor of Berta’s attempts to secure the Arsenal mainstays’ futures.

While recent reports have claimed that Arsenal will offer a “mega-money” contract to Saka, the latest update has revealed that Berta is ready to make the 23-year-old Englishman Arsenal’s highest-paid player.

With Saka happy and settled at the Emirates, it will be surprising if the two parties do not secure an agreement over a new contract. So, the English international should soon become the North London club’s highest-paid player.
