Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz is reportedly on the radar of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Ben Jacobs on talkSPORT, big-spending Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr could offer a substantial amount of money for Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
He has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club from FC Porto in a deal worth £37.5 million in January 2022. The Colombian international has found the back of the net 15 times this season. Al-Nassr could use more quality in the wide areas, and Diaz would be an excellent acquisition.
The 28-year-old has been linked with clubs like Barcelona as well. It remains to be seen whether he is keen on a move to Saudi Arabia. He is at the peak of his powers, and the South American might want to continue in Europe for now. He deserves to play for the biggest clubs in Europe and fight for major trophies.
A move to Saudi Arabia might be lucrative for him in terms of finances, but it would be an underwhelming decision. He will have plenty of opportunities to move to Saudi Arabia or theMLS in future. He should look to concentrate on shining in European football for now.
Liverpool cannot afford to sell Luis Diaz now
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to sell the player in the summer. The Reds are lacking in depth in the attacking unit, and they might need to get rid of players like Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota in the summer. Losing Diaz along with them would be a devastating blow. Liverpool might decide to hold on to him for now.
Liverpool are the favourites to win the Premier League title this season, and it is unlikely that any of their players will push for an exit in the summer. They have a talented squad and an ambitious project. The South American might be open to staying at Anfield beyond this season.
As for the big-spending Saudi Pro League outfit, they might need to move on to other targets in order to improve their attacking unit. Diaz will be a difficult target for them to attain.
