Real Betis in advanced talks to seal Antony deal this summer

Manchester United attacker Antony joined Real Betis on loan in the winter transfer window, and he has done quite well for them so far.

According to an update by Uriel Iugt, La Liga club Real Betis are in advanced talks to sign Antony permanently. It remains to be seen whether they can finalise an agreement with Manchester United for the 25-year-old.

Antony is unwanted at Manchester United, and they will be hoping to get rid of him permanently. The signing has not worked out for them, and this is the right time for the English giants to cut their losses on the player despite his recent resurgence.

Manchester United will be hoping to fight for trophies next season, and they need better players at their disposal. Antony has not been able to adapt to the Premier League properly, and his performances were quite disappointing.

However, the Brazilian seems to be enjoying is football once again in La Liga, and he has been an important player for Real Betis. It is no surprise that the Spanish outfit want to sign him permanently.

The resurgent 25-year-old is likely to be tempted to join them in the summer. He needs to get his career back on track with regular football,  and joining the Spanish club would be ideal for him. Given his situation at Manchester United, the Andalusian outfit will hope to sign him for a reasonable price.

Manchester United need an upgrade on Antony

Manchester United need to bring in quality attackers in the summer transfer window as well. It remains to be seen whether they can replace Antony adequately. They need a dynamic forward who is capable of operating on either flank and is able to score goals consistently.

The Brazilian is still only 25, and he is yet to enter his peak years. He could be a key player for Real Betis in the near future if he joins the club. If they manage to sign him for a reasonable price, the deal could look like a bargain in the long term.

The resurgent attacker has previously shown his quality at Ajax, and he seems to be getting back to his best at Real Betis now. The South American will look to fulfill his tremendous potential in La Liga in future.
