Liverpool working on contract extensions for Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, Curtis Jones

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are now looking to secure the long-term future of Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley and Curtis Jones.

Liverpool have been quite impressive in Arne Slot’s first season in charge. While they might have been knocked out of all cup competitions, the Reds are on course to lift the Premier League title. Things have gone smoothly on the pitch, but behind the scenes, it has been a different story.

The Merseyside club have had to deal with uncertainty around the future of some of the mainstays. However, they have now managed to secure new deals for both Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, the Reds are now working to extend the stay of Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Conor Bradley.

Since the start of the season, Liverpool have been working very hard to extend the stay of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah and van Dijk. While the right-back looks all set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, they have successfully convinced the Egyptian and the Dutch international to continue at Anfield for another two years.

Liverpool focusing on three more renewals

With the future of their mainstays now secured, they want to focus on other important renewals. Richard Hughes is now working hard to extend the stay of Konate, Jones and Bradley.

While the 25-year-old centre-back has been linked with a move away from the club, Liverpool consider him an important part of their long-term plans, and they want to hand him a new deal with improved terms. He is set to enter the final year of his contract, and to avoid complications, the club have already opened talks over a new deal.

The Reds are confident that he will put pen to paper on a new deal after having held talks with his agents. While Bradley and Jones are under contract until 2027, Liverpool are keen to extend their deals, with Slot’s team viewing them as key to their long-term plans.

With Alexander-Arnold likely leaving, Bradley could be set for an important role in the team 2024/25 season. Meanwhile, Jones is already an important figure in the team. As a result, the Reds are working on their renewal and are confident about getting it done.
