Everton bracing themselves to lose Jarrad Branthwaite this summer

Everton will expect to part ways with 22-year-old English international Jarrad Branthwaite amid his links with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report by The Sun, Jarrad Branthwaite might leave Everton in the summer transfer window. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the English centre-back in the summer transfer window. While the Toffees expect to part ways with the highly-rated defender, they will demand over £50 million to sell him in the coming months.

Jarrad Branthwaite and his soaring stock

Jarrad Branthwaite has seen his stock skyrocket since establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at Everton. The Englishman has been with the Merseyside club since January 2020 but had to wait until the 2023/24 season to find his feet at Goodison Park. However, he has not looked back since then.

The 22-year-old has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Everton while chipping in with four goals and two assists. Meanwhile, Branthwaite’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe.

Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing the English international, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United keen on signing him from Everton in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Toffees are bracing to part ways with the highly-rated centre-back in the coming months, even though they prefer to keep him at the club.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Manchester United’s interest in Jarrad Branthwaite is somewhat surprising. The Red Devils will part ways with Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans in the summer transfer window. In addition, Harry Maguire is on the wrong side of 30. However, Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven have partially alleviated Manchester United’s need for a new centre-back.

As for Tottenham, Cristian Romero has left the North London club in a spot of bother amid his links with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. So, Branthwaite has emerged as a viable target for Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Everton will demand over £50 million to part ways with the 22-year-old Englishman.

Manchester United and Tottenham should have no qualms about coughing up over £50 million to secure Branthwaite’s services. With Everton expecting to part ways with the English international, it will be interesting to see where he lands in the summer transfer window.
