Liverpool prepared to cough up €50 million to sign Angelo Stiller

Liverpool are reportedly ready to fork out €50 million to sign VfB Stuttgart midfield sensation Angelo Stiller this summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of Angelo Stiller, who has shown a lot of promise with his consistent performances for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. The Reds are looking to incorporate him into their team and are willing to offer €50 million to add him to their squad ahead of next season.

Stiller was a part of the Bayern Munich youth setup back in the day. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan for him at the Bavarian club, and he ended up joining TSG Hoffenheim in search of a more prominent role.

He then made the move to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2023 and has only gone from strength to strength since. He has established himself as a key figure in their team. His ability to control the tempo of the game, his tactical intelligence and his wide range of passing have earned him comparison to Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.

Liverpool pushing for the signature of Stiller

The young defensive midfielder, who has 10 goal contributions in his 41 outings, has put himself on the radar of Liverpool. The Premier League giants have been on the lookout for a new number six for some time now.

While they did push hard to sign Martin Zubimendi in the recent past, the Reds are now looking at other targets as they seek an upgrade on Wataru Endo, who is expected to be on the move in the summer. They have identified Stiller as an ideal fit for Arne Slot’s team. They believe he could provide competition to Ryan Gravenberch for a place in the starting XI.

The Merseyside club have been closely monitoring him this season and are gearing up to make a move this summer. Liverpool are ready to table an offer worth €50 million to prise him away. Meanwhile, Stuttgart view him as a key part of their project and are unlikely to let him go without a fight. However, the Bundesliga club could find it difficult to hold onto him amid strong interest from heavyweights like Liverpool.
