Chelsea want to keep Andrey Santos but set price for possible sale

Chelsea would reportedly prefer not to sell 20-year-old Brazilian midfield whizkid Andrey Santos amid his links with European bigwigs, but they value him at €35-40 million.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, European bigwigs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Paris-Germain are keen on signing Andrey Santos in the summer transfer window. However, Chelsea would prefer not to part ways with the Brazilian midfielder, although they value him at around €35-40 million.

Andrey Santos and his frustrating Chelsea spell so far

Andrey Santos has been exceptional in his latest loan stint, going from strength to strength since joining RC Strasbourg from Chelsea in February 2024. The Ligue 1 club extended his stint last summer, and the South American whizkid will have spent 18 months at Stade de la Meinau when the deal ends.

The 20-year-old has been exceptional thus far this season, having been a standout performer for RC Strasbourg. The young midfield prospect has contributed to 13 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net ten times and providing three assists.

Meanwhile, despite the Brazilian midfielder’s exploits, his long-term future at Chelsea is uncertain. The report has claimed that the Blues want to keep the highly-rated prospect, even though recent updates have contradicted that. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

A man in demand

AC Milan’s interest in Andrey Santos makes sense. The Rossoneri parted ways with Ismael Bennacer in the winter transfer window and must sign a long-term replacement this summer. So, the Chelsea whizkid has emerged as a viable target for AC Milan.

As for PSG, while Luis Enrique has a world-class midfield unit, Vitinha and Warren Zaire-Emery have piqued the attention of several European bigwigs. So, Les Parisiens should scour the market for a midfielder, with the Chelsea loanee being an option worth considering. Meanwhile, PSG and AC Milan face stiff competition from other European bigwigs for the youngster’s signature.

Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Juventus are also keen on signing the 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder. Meanwhile, Chelsea will demand around €35-40 million to part ways with the highly-rated prospect, although they want to keep him beyond the summer transfer window.
