Jakub Ojrzynski is all set to leave Liverpool and join Swedish second-division side Utsiktens BK on a loan deal until the end of the current season.
According to Goteborg-Postens via Sport Witness, Liverpool U-21 goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski is set for a swift departure to Swedish second-division side Utsiktens BK. There are provisions to make the loan deal happen, with the Swedish side set to take the 22-year-old keeper until the summer.
Liverpool could have agreed a deal with Swedish second-division side Utsiktens BK to send Jakub Ojrzynski on loan until the summer. The idea here might be to allow the 22-year-old keeper to gain minutes under his belt and probably find another suitor in the close season.
Utsiktens signed Tom Amos on a free transfer last month, and are now keen to land Ojrzynski on loan until the summer. The idea is to bring about solid competition for places, with the 22-year-old Liverpool talent now keen to prove a point albeit in the Swedish second division.
Liverpool signed Okrzynski from Legia Warsaw in Poland back in 2019, but he has not yet made a first-team appearance for the club. He has featured for the U-21 side and spent time on loan at Caernarfon Town, Radomiak Radom, Den Bosch and Spartakos Kitiou over the past three seasons. Being at the age he is, Okrzynski would want to play regularly at another club.
Liverpool’s goalkeeping setup to change next season
Liverpool have already signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia ahead of next season, and the Georgian keeper will come in straight to compete for a place. Arne Slot reportedly wants to sell Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher in the summer, as the latter will likely push for an exit as he was last summer, with the Irish keeper seeking regular game time.
As for Alisson, reports are stating Liverpool could even offer a new contract, which would make sense. Some rumours indicated the Brazilian stopper could leave in the summer due to the expected arrival of Mamardashvili, although at the current time, he remains one of the best keepers in the world, as Arne Slot has no reason to look beyond him.
As things stand, Kelleher might be the first to push for an exit from the club, with Alisson likely to keep hold of his No.1 place. Mamardashvili will be a close competitor for the Brazilian next season, which does make Liverpool’s goalkeeping setup look like one of the best in the Premier League.
