Tottenham Hotspur keen on Julio Enciso

Tottenham have added Julion Enciso to their wishlist of attacking midfielders, as a move will depend on Brighton’s decision and their asking price.

According to Fichajes, Tottenham are eager to explore a move for Julio Enciso ahead of the summer. Ange Postecoglou is eager to land a young attacking midfielder in his squad, with the Paraguayan seen as a viable option, although a move will depend on Brighton’s stance and their asking price.

Julio Enciso has had an indifferent time since moving to England from Paraguay. Brighton signed the attacking midfielder in a £9.5 million deal from Libertad Asuncion back in the summer of 2022, and while he has been a modest performer, the club had placed a lot of faith in his ability.

There have been a few injury issues along the way, Brighton decided to loan him out in January to help him gain regular minutes, as Ipswich Town signed him until the end of the season. While Enciso is yet to hit the ground running with the Tractor Boys, the Seagulls are hoping he gains his composure ahead of the summer.

The plan would be to re-integrate the 21-year-old Premier League playmaker back into the first-team setup or sell him. Enciso is beginning to attract some interest, with Tottenham now considering a move for the Paraguayan ahead of the summer window.

Tottenham keen on Julio Enciso

Tottenham will enter the summer market in search of an attacking midfielder to improve their options in the final third, with Enciso now firmly on their list. Bournemouth Justin Kluivert is also being considered, while there are loose links to Rayan Cherki among others. Spurs are eager to build on their young core of emerging stars, and the 21-year-old Premier League playmaker from Brighton will be a good addition.

Tottenham are planning further attacking signings, with links to Tyler Dibling of Southampton gaining traction in the last few days. Postecoglou wants to build on the current squad, as Spurs could see the wisdom in taking advantage of Enciso’s situation at Brighton.

Brighton are known to sell their players for massive profits, and given they invested £9.5 million in the Paraguayan, they will be expected to charge considerably for the attacking midfielder. Any move will depend on whether Spurs think the asking price is within range, as they could walk away if the Seagulls end up quoting an exorbitant asking rate.
