Newcastle United have entered the race for Francisco Trincao as they face the challenge of fellow Premier League rivals in the chase.
According to Record, Francisco Trincao has continued to attract big interest from Premier League clubs, with Newcastle United the latest to enter the race. Arsenal and Manchester United are among those keen, and Sporting CP could put up a fight to keep hold of the Portuguese international.
Francisco Trincao’s brace against Denmark has put the winger back in the limelight as many Premier League sides are interested in signing the winger. The Portuguese international has had another productive year in Lisbon, as Sporting CP are now planning ahead for the summer window.
The Portuguese giants are eager to keep hold of the winger alongside a few others, although there are rumblings about Viktor Gyokeres leaving in the summer. Fellow attacking talent Geovay Quenda has already agreed to join Chelsea in 2026. So, Sporting will want to at least keep hold of Trincao.
However, the big interest in the player from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United may have a bigger say in his transfer decision. Manchester City are also keen, although the other two in the Gunners and the Red Devils are particularly angling for a move for the flying wide forward.
Arsenal are looking at some wide attackers in the market to add competition to the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, with names like Nico Williams mentioned. Manchester United have watched Francisco Trincao previously as the presence of Ruben Amorim will help facilitate a move with ease over their other rivals.
Newcastle United enter the Trincao race
Newcastle United are the latest to enter the chase for Francisco Trincao, with the winger with 24 goal contributions seen as a perfect addition to their side. He is the profile the Magpies are looking for in the market, especially after the departure of Miguel Almiron.
Whether Newcastle United have a good chance in the race remains the question, as things will depend on their ability to qualify for next season’s Champions League. In any case, should the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United make a big push for the winger, Newcastle United may lose out on this chase.
