A host of Premier League sides are keen on Justin Kluivert ahead of the summer, with Bournemouth set to demand a huge fee in return.
According to Caught Offside, Bournemouth attacker Justin Kluivert is emerging as a big target for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham. The Premier League giants are angling a move for a player in that profile, with the Cherries likely to demand a significant fee to sell the Dutchman.
Justin Kluivert has made a huge impact in the Premier League in just over 18 months he’s been here. Bournemouth managed to sign the talented Dutchman off the hands of Roma back in the summer of 2023, and he has since grown from strength to strength.
Kluivert has nearly doubled his output compared to last season, as this term he has 20 goals and assists in all competitions. He does score all of Bournemouth’s penalties and did become the first ever Premier League player to score a hattrick from the spot, but he does contribute heavily to how Andoni Iraola’s side plays in the attacking third.
Newcastle United and Arsenal were linked earlier, although the more serious interest might be coming from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham. There’s a need for an attacking midfielder at Spurs to cover for the underwhelming performances of James Maddison, although the likes of Kluivert will add to the competition for places.
Liverpool’s interest is rather peculiar considering they do have two high-quality attacking midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones. Yet, there are rumblings in the market about Arne Slot looking at a different option, with Kluivert seen as one of the ideal candidates. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are set to demand at least €50-55 million for their playmaker, something those Premier League sides might pay.
Manchester United interested in Justin Kluivert
Manchester United are lacking a goal threat in their side, with Bruno Fernandes taking up most of the burden, especially after Amad Diallo’s injury. Hence, the idea of signing Kluivert might make sense, as the €50-55 million-rated Premier League playmaker offers a constant goal threat.
The only issue for Manchester United might be the price tag associated with the Dutchman, as they have some level of financial issues lingering in the background. Kluivert, for his part, would be open to leaving Bournemouth, as he certainly wants to make a big move in his career to one of the top sides in the Premier League.
