Liverpool line up €120 million move for Harry Kane

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are reportedly considering making a €120 million move to bring Harry Kane back to the Premier League.

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season, and they have their eyes set on Harry Kane. The former Tottenham star has been on fire since moving to the Bundesliga, but he could be open to a return to England this summer.

Kane came up the ranks at Tottenham and was a part of their first team for well over a decade. The Englishman might not have won silverware during his time at the club, but he did score a truckload of goals. In search of his maiden title, he ended up joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023.

The 31-year-old has been a standout performer for the Bavarian club, having contributed towards 99 goals in his 82 outings. While he failed to win a title in his debut campaign, his wait might end this time around as Bayern Munich close in on the Bundesliga title.

While the England captain still has two years left on his deal at the club, Liverpool are considering bringing him back to the Premier League. Arne Slot’s first season has certainly gone according to plan as they are on course to winning the league.

Arne Slot wants a new striker

While Liverpool are Premier League champions-in-waiting, things have not been that great in cup competitions as they were knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 and suffered a defeat in the Carabao Cup final. Following those defeats, Slot has set his sights on signing a top-level striker. He is not happy with the output of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.

He seeks more firepower amidst uncertainty around Mohamed Salah, and Harry Kane is a perfect fit for Slot’s system. The veteran striker has an abundance of experience of playing in the English top flight, and he still has quite a few years left in him. More importantly, a move to Liverpool will also allow him to fight for all major titles.

While Bayern Munich won’t want to part ways with the 31-year-old, the Reds’ offer which could reach €120 million will certainly make the German giants reconsider their stance. Kane is loving life at his new club but the opportunity to return to England and fight for the Premier League title could tempt him.
