Harry Kane plotting Premier League return with Liverpool

Harry Kane is reportedly plotting a surprise return to Premier League football with links to Liverpool as Bayern Munich will demand €90 million for the striker.

According to Fichajes, Harry Kane could be looking for a way back to the Premier League amid links with Liverpool. The report might spring a surprise although the Reds are expected to be in the market for a new striker to replace Darwin Nunez, as Bayern Muncih will reportedly demand at least €90 million to sell their star striker.

Harry Kane could be on course to lift his first trophy as a professional footballer, with the 31-year-old likely to lay his hands on the Bundesliga title as things stand. Bayern Munich are also very much active in the Champions League, which could be another trophy the England skipper might want to win.

Should he achieve success this season domestically or on the European front, Kane might then set sights on some unfinished business back in England. Back in his Tottenham days, the England skipper was part of two title-challenging sides under Mauricio Pochettino, as the Premier League title is something he might be keen to challenge for.

Hence, Kane might be open to the idea of making a return to the Premier League, with some reports stating that Bayern Munich could sell amid rumours of a release clause in his deal. However, the report states, that the Bavarians will demand as much as €90 million, which is well above the reported release clause.

Liverpool are being linked with a surprise move for Kane, with the Merseysiders seemingly one of the sides he could potentially join to mount a title challenge. He may not join Arsenal due to his past allegiance with Spurs, while Manchester City already have the likes of Erling Haaland, as they may not accommodate Kane.

Could Harry Kane join Liverpool?

Given Kane’s age, the €90 million-rated striker may not be someone that Liverpool might want, although he’s someone they can bet on to get the goals regularly. Liverpool are interested in Alexander Isak as their primary target, however, the Swede’s asking price might prove problematic.

The links to Kane make some sense in the context of Arne Slot needing a new striker, as Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool in the summer. Kane is someone the Dutch manager can rely on scoring goals, as they would need such a presence given top marksman Mohamed Salah could potentially depart on a free transfer.
